PANEL DISCUSSION ON CLIMATE LITIGATION AT THE FACULTY OF LAW, CHARLES UNIVERSITY
On 12 November 2024, a panel discussion on climate litigation took place at the Faculty of Law of Charles University as part of the Climate Protection Week festival. The debate was attended by two female lawyers – climate protecti- on experts: Assoc. Prof. Franková from the Department of Environmental Law, JUDr. Balounová from the Centre for Climate Law of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic and finally an attorney Dr. Bouček representing the Climate Action Association, which filed the first Czech climate litigation. Discussants exchanged views on the content, meaning and effectiveness of climate litigation in the world, Europe and the Czech Republic.
