The reviewed publication is a practical commentary on the Waste Act (No. 541/2020 Coll.), which is one of the key new legal regulations for waste management in the Czech Republic. The commented law was adopted together with the new Act No. 542/2020 Coll., on end-of-life products, after many years of preparation as part of broader changes to Czech national waste law. The commentary to the Waste Act provides a comprehensive interpretation of this act, which has a total of 159 sections and 12 annexes, on 744 pages. Its purpose is to explain the rules for preventing waste generation and managing it, the rights and obligations of persons in waste management, and the competence of individual public administration bodies in the field of waste management. The book was published by Wolters Kluwer Czech Republic in June 2025. The practical commentary takes the reader through the entire prescription in the form of a practical interpretation, which is useful all the more because the author‘s collective is represented both in the private sector and in the state administration.
